Lake Street and 31st Street  Jams

Back in 2002 I moved into the city and got a place in the S Loop of Chicago and had a big studio space at 320 E. 21st Street.  I wanted to meet some city musicians so I put an ad in the Reader.  A number of people responded but there was one guy, a bass player with a blue mohawk Cornelius Boon and we hit it off.  He had a rehearsal space out on Lake Street, near Ada St., and we started getting together to jam.  Through him I met some musicians other like Ron Strojny who is an amazing guitar player and songwriter and Bill Shanklin who is Chicago's version of John Bonham haha,   Others too including Tom Law,  - Jim Pfeiffer
